About 2 months ago, in process of moving to Garfield, my partner and I wanted to try a new place for dinner one night and landed here. It happened to be during their happy hour (daily btw), so we ordered a few apps and drinks. Our waitress, whose name I unfortunately don’t remember, gave us suggestions since we shared it was our first time. We went with the calleo wings, which are truly some of the best I’ve had, the hive fries, and a martini. As foodies, we were so pleasantly surprised that the food was delicious. Huge portions, excellent seasonings and sauces, just perfect for a local bite. Drinks were phenomenal and also very fairly priced. We have since been back 3 times and have enjoyed their sandwiches. An order of the calleo wings is an absolute must. The staff is incredibly welcoming, attentive, and pleasant. We genuinely look forward to many more happy hours there and after work cocktails once in a while. On their Instagram account, they are constantly posting upcoming events and promoting themselves very well. Just today; they posted that they are hosting a networking and headshot event. I absolutely love this and it appears they have a strong community. I wish them nothing but success! Nothing but good things to say.
I had a great experience thanks Sharron and Jess working that night. Both of them were super friendly, attentive, and clearly knew what they were doing. They kept the drinks coming quickly even though the place was busy, and they made sure everyone at the bar felt taken care of. On top of that, they had great personalities and created a really fun, welcoming vibe. You can tell they work well together and take pride in their service. Definitely one of the highlights of the night.
Stepping into The Hive feels like hitting the sweet spot between “I just want a beer and a burger” and “let’s make this a proper night out.” The space is bright and airy with big windows (great for people-watching on the Northside waterfront area), a long bar that’s ideal for solo or duo hangs, and plenty of tables for groups. It’s got that Williamsburg evolution feel – not overly hipster-forced, but definitely casual-cool with wood accents, open layout, and a relaxed energy. On a mid-week January night like tonight, it’s probably nicely populated without being overwhelming – perfect for conversation without yelling over the music. The playlist leans indie/rock/electronic at a chill volume, and the lighting is warm enough to feel cozy on a cold night.

Go for happy hour, but also try the other menu items, which are all wonderful. The staff and manager make you feel like family. We got the Ibirra quesadilla, garlic shrimp tacos, and lemon pepper wings, which were delicious. Go check them out; you will not be disappointed.
My family and I are regular weekly visitors at The Hive Bar & Bistro, and our experience is always exceptional. I would especially like to recognize Hamsel for his outstanding service. He is consistently attentive to our table, highly professional, and incredibly personable. Hamsel pays close attention to detail, ensures everything is just right, and his warm sense of humor makes every visit enjoyable. He truly understands how to treat loyal customers and goes above and beyond to create a welcoming atmosphere. Because of his excellent service, we will definitely continue to return. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Hamsel for an amazing dining experience!

It was a great dining experience atmosphere was great towards the end of music got a little loud, but then it seems as if They lowered it and I know we did not Mention it We will be back.
